Let’s Talk Adaptogens

Let’s begin by defining what an adaptogen is. As the name implies, regular use helps you adapt to your internal and external conditions. These are herbs that have been touted across the centuries globally for their healing benefits. Taken over time they are preventatives that help the body naturally function the way it was intended to. They also tend to grow in some pretty harsh environments hence the need to “adapt” to their own surroundings. If you’re one of the few that’s in optimal health then you will likely see no results at all from incorporating an adaptogen into your daily routine.

It has been my experience with my adaptogen of choice, black seed oil, that it basically goes in and fixes whatever is broken even when you don’t know it’s broken. In ancient times it was considered the cure for everything but death. While researching for more specifics on this beauty, I stumbled across lots more adaptogens that I didn’t even know existed. Some I’d heard of in passing and some I was completely clueless about. Check out my findings and you may find your new favorite.
