Let’s Talk Adaptogens

Schisandra Berry

Reduces the stress hormone in blood stream and brings shine to the hair and skin. As an added bonus it increases sexual stamina and function.

Astragalus

Used in traditional Chinese medicine, astragalus boosts the immune system and circulation along with anti-aging properties.

Shilajit

This is actually not an herb but a sticky substance that is primarily found in the rocks of the Himalayas. Known as Ayurveda’s only panacea, it carries tons of energy to the body via trace minerals, electrolytes, pro- and prebiotics, fatty acids, silica, and electrolytes. Wow, seems to pack quite a punch!

Aroma, Basil, Preparation, Natural

Holy Basil

Known in Ayurveda as tulsi, this popular herb does not help with mood improvement but rather helps the body to cope in times of stress. Also works well as a natural acne treatment and supports healthy microbes in the gut.

Well, that certainly is a lot to take in at once. I’m sure there’s a product on the market that combines these for ease of use as well as affordability. For now I just wanted you to be aware that they exist and to give a brief snippet of the functions they perform to help you maintain overall health. I’ll be doing more research and update this post as necessary. Until then, be well!
